OBJECTIVES FOR UNIT 8-CONTINUITY OF LIFE

 

  1. Students will be able to describe the four main characteristics of living things. Included will be: self regulation, self organization, self preservation, and self reproduction.

 

2.      Students will be able to describe the experiments of Francesco Redi and define Spontaneous Generation.

 

  1. Students will be able to describe the four stages of Mitosis. Included will be:

Interphase     prophase    metaphase   anaphase    telophase

 

  1. Students will be able to describe the parts of the cell  listed on the Celluar Web Quest (#4).

 

 

  1. Students will be able to describe how Mitosis and Meiosis are different.

 

  1. Students will be able to describe in general terms the Story of Life and be able to describe how development occurs over time. Key terms to know are:
